Discouragement is the feeling of despair in the face of obstacles, being deprive of hope, no courage. When we are discouraged we cannot hear from God, we cannot commune with Him. We lose sight of victory that is ours, Ps61vs2-3(gnt) says" In despair and far from home I call to you! Take me to a safe refuge, for you are my protector, my strong defence" I pray when we get to a state when we are in despair, when our hearts are overwhelmed we will run to drink from the well of our Salvation. Discouraged people give up easily. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go"Josh1vs9. When we are discouraged we are a magnet for the devil. Sometimes we get so tired waiting on the Lord for an answer, tired with work, with your marriage, with family, with life we suffer " burn-out". Burn-out is synonymous with frustration and frustration is an early warning sign for the onset of discouragement. Its easy for people who are tired and frustrated to conclude they are going to fail. These thoughts are a stepping stones to discouragement and fear. Discouragement brings the spirit of "we are not able" just like the Israelites Moses told them to go up at once and possess the land, for they were well able to overcome it, Numbers 13vs30, then in verse31-33 they panicked, they felt inadequate they were discouraged and gave room to negative thoughts they said we are not able, we are like grasshoppers. I pray we stand against the spirit of evil expectation and think positively for we are able to overcome in Jesus Mighty Name!! Stand on the promises of God and watch Him raise up a standard on your behalf. In Jesus Name you are well able to conquer every obstacle and drink from the wells of Salvation with Joy!! Next we will look at steps we need to take to overcome discouragement. Remain Blessed and Heavenly Favoured!! Shalom!!

Isaiah 12vs2-3 reads "Surely God is my Salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord is my Strength and my Defense; He has become my Salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of Salvation". Out of the well of Salvation springs forth wells of healing (physical and spiritual), well of salvation from addictions, well of salvation from lack of purpose, well of salvation of the soul ( mind, will and emotions), well of salvation from loneliness, discouragement, financial poverty. The list is endless. Are we drinking from the bounty God has in store for us? He says in Jer 29vs11-13 "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Call upon me and I will listen, you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". How do we seek God? When hard times come, bad reports come, we have the choice to trust God or be discouraged. Let us learn to lean on Jesus for strength, Nehemiah 8vs10b tells us that the joy of the Lord is our Strength.we are to have the joy of the Lord within us so we can enjoy the peace of God that passeth human understanding in the midst of the storm. In order to draw water from the wells of Salvation we need to overcome obstacles that come our way. Is your obstacle addiction, discouragement, fear, loneliness, worry, failure, doubt.... We need to identify the spiritual and emotional obstacles in our lives and equip ourselves biblically to defeat them, so we can draw water from the well of Salvation with Joy. We need to unblock the wells, look at what is hindering our blessings. Unblock is a verb in the present participle, this is a continuous, on going action. To unblock the wells demands our action, our co- operation. Like Habakkuk said in chapter 3vs17-18 " Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail and the field shall yield no meat.........Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my Salvation". Wow what a Powerful statement!! I pray we say the same when we go through testing times. Next we will look at recognising the obstacle of discouragement. Remain Blessed and Heavenly Favoured!! Shalom!!

The word establish is a verb in the present participle, which means that it is a continuing action. To establish is to set up, build, install. When we surrender our all to Jesus He sets us up, He builds us up, He establishes us. God is in the process of establishing you. Will you allow Him to have His way? "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God and who also has sealed us and given us the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee" 2Cor1vs21-22. Alleluia what an assurance!!! When we are established in Christ He makes us stable, dependable and steadfast. He is our (1) Rock--our Firm Foundation---Ps71vs3 (2) Fortress---Stronghold, Place of Strength--Jer16:19, (3) Deliverer---causes us to escape---Ps144vs2, (4) Strength---our Fountain, our Source---Is26vs4, (5) Buckler---Shield, Defender--- Ps91vs4. When we are established in Christ we are anointed with Power, sealed with the stamp of Ownership. No weapon fashioned against us will prosper because it is our heritage as children of the Lord. All Gods promises towards us are Yes and so shall it be. Not one of Gods promises are no to those who believe and are established in Him. His promises are back by the Honour of His Name. Ps138vs2b. As Christ establishes us we draw nearer to the Rock of our Salvation. I pray Christ dwells in our hearts and that we are rooted and grounded in the love of God. Let's continue to seek Gods face as He establishes His purpose and plans for our lives. Remain Blessed and Heavenly Favoured!!! Shalom!!!

Truth is the cement that holds our relationship with God together. We must be true to ourselves and seek Gods face on a daily basis in all sincerity and truth. We should commit ourselves fully to the Lord, total abandonment to His will. This should be evident in our character, there should be transparency and selflessness. True freedom comes only when we abide in Gods truth. John8vs31-32. Maintaining Gods standards is more than knowing who He is, it is also about His Word because He is the Truth. When we walk in truth before God we have freedom from darkness and sin. Eph4vs15 encourages us to speak the truth in love. We must use the truth as tool to build relationships as well as a weapon to fight deception. I pray we hide Gods Word in our hearts and meditate on it day and night. The reponsibility of obedience and walking in truth is up to us, the responsibility of blessing is up to God. Let us examine ourselves, look closely, carry out a search to see if we are living in faith. 2Cor13vs5-6. We should run into Gods presence and abide there. We should be willing and positioned in truth to maintain a Godly Standard. "What you are after is truth from the inside out. Enter me, then, conceive a new, true life" Ps51vs6 (msg). Abiding in His presence brings security, hope, deliverance, peace, joy, power, sound mind and so much more. David prayed in Psalm138 "Though I am surrounded by troubles You bring me safely through.......Your power will save me". As we go through life's journey we will fear no evil for God is our Rod and Staff to Guide and Lead us into Victory in every area of our lives. Remain Blessed and Heavenly Favoured!!! Shalom!!!
