Who may abide in your tabernacle? Who may enter your presence on your Holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking truth from sincere hearts. Ps 15vs1-2. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Who shall stand in His Holy Place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord. Ps24vs3-5a. To abide is to dwell, to remain. As children of God we are called to be Holy. 1Peter1vs16.2 We cannot maintain the standard if we are not abiding in Gods presence. We should seek to please God and constantly obey His Word so we can enjoy the benefits of His Shekinah Glory (presence of the Lord). Three basic areas of life are listed in the above verses; 1) Integrity--- blameless character 2) Honesty--- righteous conduct 3) Sincerity---truthful conversation. Today we will look at Integrity---blameless character. What we are largely determines what we do and say, so our first emphasis should be on Godly character. Integrity means completeness, moral innocence. The exact opposite of compromise. Integrity is important in the life of a Christian because it defines to others who you are. People want to know if you are for real. Integrity determines how you react to certain suituations, it demonstrates your Spiritual condition, if you lack integrity it can damage your testimony. Integrity Blesses us Prov20:7, it Judges us Job31:6, it protects usPs25:21, it guides us Prov11:3. We should pursue integrity, seek it and desire it. It is a necessity in our walk with the Lord as we seek to abide in His presence. We should protect it with all our heart why because we can easily lose it. We should strive to develop a Godly character marked by a sound character, complete loyalty to God, Obedience, persistence, purity, service, faith, forgiveness and vision. We should be able to say like David did in Psalm 26:1, Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, I have trusted also in the Lord, therefore I shall not slide. I have heard it said It's not what we eat that gives us strength--but what we digest. It's not what we earn that makes us rich--but what we save. It's not what we read that gives us knowledge --it's what we remember. It's not what we preach that makes us Christians--but what we practice. God will not reject a person of Integrity Job8vs20a. I pray we seek to abide daily in Gods presence. Shalom.
